The Romanian Diaspora Funding Network came together as a group of organisations who, sometimes mutually inspired and supported, had developed philanthropy programs to bridge Romanians abroad with civil society programs in their home country. The core of their work was based around organising Donors Circles modelled and supported by The Funding Network in the UK.
In 2020 they decided to think up a strategy and structure for working together in order to better support and learn from each other and ultimately to enhance their impact. We worked with them to devise an emerging strategy document.
The strategy development process included individual interviews with the eight groups and two supporters, an inception report for context analysis, two facilitated workshops and collaborative drafting of the results.
