Biography

Lavinia is a practiced advocacy facilitator with more than 11 years experience in developing programs and offering guidance to organisations, networks and civic groups in engaging communities and changing policies in Romania and across Europe. In the past she has consulted for the World Bank offering expertise on participatory policy development and spent more than 10 years as advocacy program manager for the Resource Center for Public Participation (CeRe) in Bucharest. She has also provided social counselling for asylum seekers and refugees as a representative of Save the Children, and facilitated groups of educators and youth representatives in drafting position papers on non-formal education. In 2012, Lavinia was a Professional Fellow in the U.S. Department of State’s Community Organising Programme. 

Currently she is also developing skills as a Software developer.
